Inspiration for a Hawaii Elopement: Anthony + Jackie’s Wedding Film

Hawaii Elopement Videography

One of the best things about a Hawaii elopement is that it’s just the two of you. No worries, no pressure – just a celebration of your love in a beautiful place. But you likely still want to share the memory with those who mean the most to you.

As Anthony + Jackie planned their elopement, they knew it was a day they’d want to relive and share with everyone who supports their relationship. That’s why they hired No Ka ʻOi Films as their Hawaii elopement videographer.

I was so honored to come along for this couple’s grand adventure. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite moments from their day and some insight into how they planned such a picture-perfect day.

The Little Moments Mean the Most

I offer multiple Hawaii elopement packages for videography that fit all styles of celebrations. But each one includes a minimum of 3 hours of coverage. This allows me to create a complete video that showcases your experience, the unique setting, and your love story.

Anthony and Jackie decided to elope in Hawaii so that they could fully enjoy their wedding day in a unique way. And they wanted to feel all their emotions every time they watched their wedding film.

So with three hours of videography coverage and a well-planned elopement day, we created a film that was as remarkable and beautiful as the couple.

We began in a highrise with amazing views, where they each got ready separately. Then we headed west, where the lush greenery of Maui’s jungle awaited. It’s here that Anthony and Jackie had their first look, which was unbelievably romantic. Check out Anthony’s tearful adoration!

Perfect first look at a Hawaii Elopement

These two seemed so at ease, and the dense, verdant surroundings were a perfect backdrop for them.

After their first look and some portraits, we went to Ironwoods Beach. This secluded stretch of sand lent a breezy, romantic vibe to their experience and Maui wedding videography.

They stood steps away from the ocean as Kahu Euta officiated their ceremony, pronouncing them a married couple just before the sunset.

This film will convince anyone that Hawaii is the best place to elope. But don’t take my word for it. Check out each stunning moment here:

Eloping Meaning & Planning in Style

Today we’re talking about Anthony + Jackie’s elopement in the most classic sense, where it’s just the couple and no guests at all. But an elopement meaning can vary based on each couple.

Elopements in Hawaii can include guests, or they can have only the couple and their vendors. I offer my videography elopement package to groups of 15 or fewer, as this is the point where you can have an effortless, intimate celebration.

So what is elopement videography to me? It could be something with no guests, like Anthony + Jackie, or something with a few guests who are there to celebrate in a relaxed yet supportive way.

The secret to planning isn’t getting the elopement definition right – it’s knowing in your heart that you’re creating something true to who you are, something that’s not fussy but still has the details that mean the most to you.

So choose a beautiful spot, choose details that are worth it, and choose people you’ll want around, whether this is friends & family or Hawaii’s best wedding vendors.

Anthony + Jackie’s Advice

Anthony + Jackie had a stylish yet simple ceremony, and I’m so glad they chose me as their videographer. But how do they feel about the experience?

They were willing to record themselves as they watched their elopement film for the first time, and their reaction answered that question for me. But I also asked them about it straight out, and here’s what they had to say:

100% worth the investment. There’s something different about videography that just brings your wedding day to life in ways that other mediums can’t… You were so amazing to work with and you’ll always hold a special place with us, being one of the few people at our wedding.
— Jackie + Anthony

This is never lost on me. Couples who elope in Hawaii don’t want to be surrounded by people, but they do need professionals to record their day and bring it to life. And for me to be one of the few there, that’s something that I will always treasure.

My hope is that, in return, Anthony & Jackie can also treasure their wedding video for a lifetime.
